Munnar 2 Nights
* Day 1 –
Cochin to Munnar – Arrival & Transfer (Stay at Munnar)
– Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet and assistance.Transfer to Munnar . Munnar is
1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts).
On the way visit Valara, On the way, visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls; both of these are
seasonal attractions, along with tea plantations. On arrival at Munnar, transfer to the Hotel.
Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), the best place to see
Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus Hilarious) – the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum . Evening
have a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green
paradise.overnight at the hotel.
* Day 2 –
Munnar – Full Day Sightseeing (Stay at Munnar)
– Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam,
Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping &
overnight at the hotel in Munnar.
Thekkady 1 Night
Day 3 –
* Munnar to Thekkady (Stay at Thekaddy)
– Transfer & sightseeing – After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Thekkady , on arrival
check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own
activities and overnight stay at Thekkady. One of the world’s most fascinating wildlife reserves. The
Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick
evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the sanctuary
was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Sightseeing in Thekkady: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Spice
Plantation.
Alleppey 1 Night
* 4th Day Thekkady to Alleppey – Transfer & Houseboat Stay
– Check out from the resort and drive to Alleppey. Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise
and for an overnight stay. While cruising in these floating luxury- villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual –
skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed- down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic
homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Overnight stay in a houseboat.
Kovalam 2 Nights
* 5th Day
Alleppey to Kovalam – Transfer & Sightseeing
– After breakfast checkout from hotel / Houseboat (As per your stay )and drive to Kovalam, on arrival check in to the hotel.
Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kovalam.Kovalam is
an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially
Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for
sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages,
special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. Sightseeing : Padmanabha Swami Temple, Kuthira Maligai Palace, Zoo,
Art Gallery (All places close on Monday except Padmanabha Swami Temple).
6th Day
* Kovalam – Trivandrum Sightseeing
– Start your day with a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, (Thiruvananthapuram) literally means ‘the abode of Anantha’, the snake
God. The main attraction of the city is the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Vishnu (also known as Padmanabha)
reclining on the snake Anantha. The imposing gopuram (gateway tower) and intricate sculptures of the temple make it a very
popular tourist attraction. Later visit Napier Museum, an art and natural history museum which houses a collection of
archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Sri Chitra Art
Gallery (Closed on Mondays & Wednesday forenoons) displays the original paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which houses a
collection of paintings from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools. The collection also includes unique copies of Indian
mural paintings from prehistoric times down to the 18th century. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
* 7th Day
Kovalam to Trivandrum – Departure
– Check out from the hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport / Railway Station for departure.
– 2 Nights stay at Munnar.
– 1 Night stay at Thekaddy.
– 2 Nights stay at Alleppay.
– 5 Breakfast & 5 Dinner at Hotels.
– Transfers and sightseeing by chosen vehicle As Per Given Itinerary.
