Gangtok – North Sikkim (5 Days / 4 Nights) Tour Package

Your Himalayan journey begins with arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). Meet and greet by the driver and start the drive towards Gangtok covering approximately 135 km which takes around 3 to 4 hours. Gangtok is known for its monasteries, peaceful environment and beautiful Himalayan views. After arrival check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening you can explore MG Marg or the local market. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

After breakfast report at Vajra Stand at around 10:30 AM for the North Sikkim tour departure. Start the scenic drive towards Lachen via Chungthang covering around 125 km. During the journey enjoy views of mountains, waterfalls and valleys. Please note that North Sikkim infrastructure is basic due to the remote terrain and weather conditions. On arrival check in at the hotel in Lachen and enjoy welcome tea. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Lachen.

Early morning drive to Gurudongmar Lake located at an altitude of about 15,800 ft which is one of the highest and most sacred lakes in the region. On the way there will be a brief stop at around 15,000 ft for permit verification. The lake area remains snow covered from December to April and may freeze during winter temperatures. After visiting the lake return to Lachen for lunch. Later continue the journey to Lachung covering around 47 km. Check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Lachung.

After early breakfast proceed to Yumthang Valley located around 25 km from Lachung. Known as the Valley of Flowers, Yumthang is situated at about 11,800 ft and surrounded by snow-capped mountains and rhododendron forests. Spend some time exploring the valley and enjoying the natural beauty. Later return to the hotel for lunch or packed lunch. In the afternoon drive back to Gangtok covering around 130 km which takes approximately 5 hours. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and begin the return journey to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station covering around 130 km which takes about 4 to 5 hours. During the drive enjoy scenic views along the Teesta River and optional tea breaks. Drop at NJP or Bagdogra for your onward journey. The tour concludes with unforgettable memories of Sikkim.
